About TVLinux (no spaces) or formerly known as Tualatin Valley Linux

TVLinux (TVL) is a partially educational and partially entertaining show about the Linux users,
programs, applications, news and how to's.  DWP has produced this program since the beginning,
now in it's 5th season.  Show #1 of Season 5  (Ep 73) is scheduled to tape next on Tuesday, March
12th at 7 pm Pacific in the Portland Oregon metro area.  It's a live show recorded for replay and for

More about the program
Hosted by Shaun Savage and co-hosted by Jesse Black (Yellow Crayon LLC), TVLinux is a strickly
volunteer program that has no advertising and is taped and re-broadcast on local cable access in and
around Portland Oregon.

If you live in the area or are willing to travel at your own expense, you to may be able to be on the show.
Not only are they broadcast locally, but posted on video.google.com where the whole world can see.
Be on TV, and have your friends or relatives 3000 miles away see the show online, potentially before it
airs.

You must know about the Linux operating system or intimately familiar with it's use and or applications
that are used on it.  If you are part of a company that deals with Linux applications or use linux for some
or all of your company needs, that'll work too.  Have convention or event surrounding Linux in the
Portland Metro area, he can come to you for an interview.  Please
email Shaun with "TVLinux Guest" as
the subject.  Include your name, company if applicable and what your Linux or related experience is.
He will respond when he can.

Have comments about the show or ideas that can make it better?
Inasmuch as DWP does not own this show, providing production services including the primary
producer Dennis Gleason under the Executive Producer Shaun Savage, we do have been entrusted
with being able to make changes to the program where it is considered appropriate or needed.  Send
us an email with "TVLinux Suggestions" in the subject and we may implement your recommendations.
Emails are typically not returned unless the submitter specifically asks for a response.  If an idea is
used, we will request that you are thanked on air for your contributions.  Note, since we do not own the
show and talent some times forgets to mention things, we can only suggest they recognize it so please
don't be too disappointed if they don't mention it.

CALL IN! Its live.
The cool thing about this show that it is a live show that accepts callers.  If you live in the Portland metro
area, specifically in Washington or Multnomah counties and have linux questions, watch it at 7-8 pm,
the 2nd, 4th and if applies 5th Tuesday of the month on cable access channel 11 (verizon ch 22). The
phone number will be posted and we accept calls from 7:15ish to 7:50ish.

Interested in Sponsoring this show with food or other promotional considerations?
The cost of producing a show may be relatively small for a cable access broadcast, but the cost for media, food
and web development/updating can turn a simple project to costing about $50.00 or more per episode assuming
that the tapes are used (they cost around $20/ea new) and gas expenses for crew and talent are donated.  Get
your company cheap exposure by offering to supply some of our expense items, food being the one in most need.
We add your company (or name if private support) to lower thirds during the show as well as noting in the closing
credits. Folks willing to help out on an ongoing basis, will be submitted to Shaun for on air acknowledgement.
