About Mrs. Oregon International
Dark Wing Productions is the official production company for the Mrs. Oregon International Pageant.
We created the official event DVD for 2008. It will be available for $5.00 to anyone that would like a copy
of it by completing the form below. A reduced program will be aired on area cable access beginning in
Late June (production delayed due to edit complications). The aired program will also be viewable
online at video.google.com search for (include the quotes) "Mrs. Oregon International 2008"
2009 competition entry opens May 1st, 2008
This coming year will have some unique changes. For starters, Mrs., Miss and Miss Teen will all be
presented at the same time. Also, this year, Miss and Miss Teen will also be video taped and made
available to those that would like to purchase one.
How does DWP stack up to the competition?
It's important to know about your production company before asking them to help you with taping and
using footage from your precious event. Inasmuch as 90% of the companies out there do a good job,
have legitimate businesses, there is a percentage that will take advantage of generous people.
DWP has only recently moved into the field shooting arena. What does that mean? It says that we
don't have as much experience in field work as those companies that have been around for a long
time.
So why would you hire us vs another more experienced company? Well it depends. What else does
those other companies do. Do they have credits doing other things of note? How much do they charge
and is it better than our rates?
Here is a few pieces of information that may help you decide.
Dennis Gleason, the owner, is also a TV producer, director and on screen talent. He has spent
years in television and has over 200 taping sessions under his belt as a producer/director,
mostly constituting episodes and produce 7 shows of his own in addition to the 5 shows he
directs or produces for others.
Dark Wing Productions is not only the official production company for the Oregon Int'l pageant
series, but also is the official production company for Portland Teen Idol and in negotiation with
other entertainment event directors to add more annual events to our list.
No other company that we know of, in Oregon at least, also invites winners, stars and management
team members to be guests on TV shows in a television studio afterwards to help give others the
exposure that they need and want after getting some titles. "On The Fly TV" and follow up shows
for the event themselves, adds a layer that most production companies can't do.

| Are you a TV Producer with a cable access station and would like sponsor a DWP show? We are looking for folks that are willing to re-broadcast our shows in their local communities. If you have the ability to provide sponsorship or would like information on how to go about getting that ability from your local station, contact us with your name, age, residence city and state, what local station you are able to/would like to sponsor us through and a phone number (I like personal contact whenever possible with folks that I works with), we will work with you to get everything set up for minimal cost. We do have formatting and insert criteria restrictions to ensure the integrity of the show and DWP's reputation but the guidelines will be provided when the time comes. If you are interested in sponsoring shows that DWP produces or is working on, please email us with "I want to play your show locally" in the subject and we will see about creating a two way relationship where we may be able to sponsor some of your content as well. |
| Are you a TV or Movie Producer in the Portland Oregon area? We are searching for individuals for our "Producer Chin Wag" and 'Indie-Talk" programs that discuss the entertainment industry. PCW covers the different challenges of being a producer and ITALK covers the differences and similarities between TV and the movies. Individual must be on IMDB.com database or have verifiable credits to their name. There is no costs involved for participation and may include a chance to plug your projects. |
| Actor or talent? Are you interested in getting on TV to build your resume and get experience? We are searching for individuals that have prior movie, television or theatre acting experience to help out with some of our shows, work on new projects and desire TV credits. Although DWP does have a pay service to get you exposure, we may often reduce or eliminate the costs if you already have credits to your name and you provide us with support on our projects as an in kind compensation sort-of speak, plus you get credits for your portfolio. If you are willing to travel to Beaverton Oregon and able to help virtually or via telephone from home, email us with your name, age, residence city and state, interests, experience and if you are willing to provide on site or remote assistance for in kind for studio time and television exposure. All air time is on cable access unless noted. |
