Police Activities League of Greater Portland
Owner of DWP (and parent company DWI) has worked with PAL for many
years in several different capacities.
Here are some of the involvement that we have been part of.
Company; Dark Wing Productions:
Provided 30 second PSA as sponsorship of the 9/18/08 7th Annual Golf
Tournament and an additional 30 second PSA for the Chief David G. Bishop
Memorial Boxing Tournament. PSA running on cable channels in the Portland
Metro area.
Taped for broadcast, the Youth Boxing TV television show episode 1 in
January promoting the PAL club boxing program and also assisting several
other local youth boxing agencies. YBT Episode 2 is in development but
includes all of the boxers that competed at the 1st Annual Chief David G.
Bishop Memorial Boxing Tournament that was held on July 12th, 2008.
Company; Dark Wing International:
In the past, Dark Wing International provided financial support in form of
money as well as donated items for auction for the Beaverton PAL club
(formerly also the Westside PAL Club)
Personal; Dennis Gleason:
Outside of DWI/DWP, Dennis also used to represent Wells Fargo as a
member of the Board of Directors, including a member of the Executive Board
as the Secretary until the organization was absorbed into PAL of Greater
Portland (Portland PAL) in 2006.
In 1994-95, As a student attending Mt. Hood Community College, Dennis was
an intern through the Portland Police Activities League and assisted with the
clean up and restoration of the PAL facility off of Glisan St. as well as provided
support for the first ever Cops vs. Blazer Alumni basketball game held at
Centennial HS.
